Who we are

Welcome to NRG Fitness, Junction’s members’ gym in Pines Plaza, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. Founded by the passionate health enthusiast, Mr. Reece Whyte, we are more than a place to train—we are a club built on energy, discipline, and showing up for yourself. Come push past your limits in a space that celebrates every member, makes the work feel worthwhile, and treats fitness as part of a happier life. Embrace the energy. Make it your NRG.

Fitness Classes

Aerobic classes
Coached dance-style aerobic classes outdoors or on the turf: cardio dance, choreographed routines, mixed rhythm training. You work beside other members; the coach watches form, not just the clock.

What to expect: A brief of the session, then follow-along choreography and high-energy dance rounds. Beginners welcome — tell the coach it’s your first class and they’ll scale the moves and impact.

HIIT classes
Short, hard intervals with defined rest. Built to raise conditioning and work capacity without a long grind.

What to expect: Usually 30–45 minutes. Work bouts of 20–45 seconds (or short AMRAPs) with brief recoveries. Burpees, carries, tyre or sled work, kettlebells, bodyweight. “High intensity” means your hard pace.

Boot camps
Circuit energy: stations, partners, functional tools. Tyre flips, farmer’s carries, burpees, slams, sprints and bodyweight strength.

What to expect: 5–10 min dynamic warm-up → 25–40 min stations (often 40–45 sec on / 15–20 off) → short finisher → stretch. You rotate as a group. The coach calls time and scales on the fly. Wear shoes with grip.

Group runs / run club
Show up and run with people. Easy social kilometres some days, sharper efforts on others.

What to expect: Meet at the gym, short warm-up, then a set route or timed out-and-back. Walk-run is fine. Tell the leader your comfortable pace and stay with a pack on day one.

Personal Training

One-to-one or small-group coaching programmed for your body, schedule and goal.

Book PT for:

  • Weight loss — training you can recover from, plus habits around consistency, steps, sleep and food. No crash plan.

  • Strength and general fitness — learn the big movements and stop guessing on the floor.

  • Injury recovery / return to training — smart loading once you’ve been cleared by your doctor or physiotherapist. We train around the issue. A gym session does not replace clinical care.

  • Sports massage — for tight hips, heavy legs after boot camp, desk-stiff shoulders, or the knot after chest day. Recovery work — not a medical diagnosis.

What to expect: Session 1 is assessment and goal-setting. After that, 45–60 minutes of coached work and notes for the days you train alone. Flag injuries before you start.

Open gym

Cardio, machines, free weights and functional space on member plans. snack bar for fuel. Most plans include complimentary beverages and Wi‑Fi.

What to expect: Rerack weights, share benches at peak time, ask staff for a machine walkthrough.
